for my niece's wedding.....

These are my latest project. My niece is getting married and my SIL asked me to make 50 wedding favors filled with red hots and cherry sours.
Using only 50 8.5 x 11 pieces of white cardstock I created the tags and sour cream containers. I used my new CI for the heart tags and monograms.

From there is was easy to use the Cuttlebug to emboss them with 6 different patterns, dress it up with some stickles, and pull it all together with some ribbon.

I ended up making 55 (always nice to have a few extra) favors. Now onto the next wedding project.

Homecoming T-shirts and Mum and Garter

If you have ever spent any time in north Texas you know that high school football is king. Homecoming is especially insane. Since this is my son's senior year I went a little nuts on the Mum and Garter. These are my first homemade mum and garter. I started off with a pile of supplies along with some specialty premade ribbon. The kids gave me permission to go overboard!

These are what I came up with. The school mascot is wolves but my son wanted panda an penguin centers instead. I even added some candy for them to munch on!

This is her mum.

It is attached to a beauty pagent style sash. Originally I wanted the sash just for appearances. Turns out that these mums are extremely heavy. The sash makes it much easier to wear and will not stretch out her shirt by being pinned to it.

This is my son's garter. I was really worried about it being too heavy to wear on his arm but I used lots and lots of glue and staples to attach it to a special garter that (hopefully) will stay on his sleeve better.

I was also asked to make t-shirts for the group of kids he is going to the dance with. They are worn during school on homecoming day.

I used the Cricut to make stencils out of the vinyl and used them to paint the shirts. Because of the personization I had to make 26 different stencils.

Their theme was transformers so I had to print out iron ons for each shirt.

Some more projects from Raven's party.

I made the frame on grad caps and Raven did the ribbon work on her signature piece. I love how this turned out.

We made 47 grad caps on matchsticks for cupcakes.

I made most of the items in her center piece.

The lettering for her name is from Winter Woodland. This has turned out to be one of my favorite fonts.
45 Grad Caps frames, Raven frames, and 2010 frames to use for the table runners.

And what turned out to be the star of the day... Raven and her friend made fake mustashes to play with. We have pictures of almost her whole table wearing these!

Second CI project

I made this birthday card for my older brother. Just in case you can't see the words it says "hi it's your childhood calling....."
"Long Distance"
I hope he likes it. It is the first handmade card I have made for him.

It's here!!

My Imagine arrived on Thursday. Just in time for my trip to Missouri. I have not purchased any additional Imagine Carts yet so I only have the 3 that came with the HSN special.

Here is the first project completed with it:
it is a program for the Graduation Ceremony for my niece, Raven. (She graduated a year early! So proud of her!)
